That's surprising. A nice boost, but yeah surprising.

Thought he could of been at least a Day 2 choice and would have taken it after the torn ACL. But he does stand a chance to turn into a first rounder, so whatevs.

I expect Beckner, Jordan Elliott, and juco commit Antar Thompson to be a pretty impactful trio up front.

I've heard rumblings the staff thinks Elliott is better than Beckner.

Now what we need is for Lock to come back....spend a little time with a QB guru to hone his rough edges and for Crockett to come back healthy.

That's a great kind of player for Mizzou to have, especially if you can pair it with a penetrator (as witnessed by the improvement in the defense after Logan returned)

I'm no expert by any means, but to me Heuppel isn't really ready for a HC gig, any more than Odom was truly ready when he got the Mizzou job.

But who knows in this crazy college world these days.

Any word on getting recruits from Nebraska, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Florida or Florida State?

Mario Goodrich de committed from Nebraska yesterday, Mizzou will try to get in there.

There's a top 100 dual-threat QB from California who decommitted from Tenner and is visiting Mizzou (he'll go to Ohio state if they offer).

And a few others here and there. May get back in on Cam Brown, the WR from St Louis who committed to Nebraska.

The turmoil at FSU may also help them with James Foster, the QB out of Alabama.
