No coincidence that teams all of a sudden started calling about guys like Apple and Jenkins and Conley after seeing the asking price for Peterson. Looks to me like the price is set to tell Peterson they at least tried to appease him and shut him up.

Um, that's not gonna work. If they field two dozen calls and he doesn't get traded, he's going to be even more mad at them setting the price too high.

They can't just say "well we tried" if they didn't genuinely try.

Peters is outside of the top 100. I don't see how that is average.
