Klosterman makes some great points about how crazy Wire supremacists are and how Breaking Bad is unique in its brilliance.
Myself, I'm still sticking with Deadwood as the pinnacle because it's simultaneously wholly a creation of fiction and wholly true in it's message if not its factual details. http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/.../bad-decisions Quote:

I don't know what human foible requires one to rank either The Wire or Breaking Bad above the other, or what purpose that serves. They are both great and well crafted.

Paging all armchair psychs, why oh why have I never found Marie sexier than when she was putting her foot down [unsuccessfully] with Hank. She positively glowed in that scene, yet was utterly powerless.

Marie just doesn't pull off the bitch power lady very sexy like, she does do the damsel in distress very well.

Damn, that was awesome. Sucks that the season's over.
I've got a hunch that before It's all over, Jesse will end up killing Walt. |

Through this last episode, I kept noticing the wonderful acting job by the guy doing Tio Hecter. No spoken lines at all. But his face showed the smug enjoyment of spelling out insults to Hank, and the hate for Walt and more for Gus. Great performance.
