NEVARRRR!!!
and, Guru...NEVARRRR!!! Kinda like how OnStar is only on GM vehicles. And Musical Artists are with a label. And MCRib is only at McDonalds (it's back, by the way -- for a limited time!!!FTW!!!!11COPTER!!) MS pays Developers to make games for them SCEA does the same. Or, they have a division which does it. And then the 3rd parties (Fallout, GTA, COD, etc.) make them for all and rake it in, but 1st party titles are a part of the whole enchilada. |

BTW...Does anyone know how to check how much space you have left of the PS3's hard drive? I could look, read and search stuff...but I'm sooooo lazy!

At least one good thing with exclusivity with the PS3 is that the game makers utilize what the PS3 is capable of. All the other 3rd party titles are made for the 360 then just ported. I would love to see a COD game made specifically for the PS3.

Well, 40 gb of space isn't enough and I only have a few videos on it. all the game installs are taking up too much space so I had to delete Home.
anyone know where to get the largest and most affordable HDD for the PS3?

Also depending on how much you access it, a 7200 rpm drive might make sense. |

I have the 60 gig version and i doubt i would ever upgrade it unless something really cool comes out to where i need the space. Just wait a while, and when SSD is the norm them rpm drives are going to drop even more then they already are.

I didn't realize how much room those game files take up until I was checking memory today and realized it was at 700mb left. All I had on there was just under 2 gb of my sons Clone Wars eps. Deleted Home and some rented game files I didn't need and managed to get it back up to about 9gb free. Some of those install files are 5gb in size. DAMN

Guru, I put a 250 GB HDD in my beast and I haven't had to worry about anything!
I would recommend doing something like that. If you do it though, be careful w/ the screws that hold the HDD in, they strip very easily. If I recall, I had to Use a pair of pliers to push in a screwdriver to unscrew the screws...It sucked. |

I found 320 GB 7200RPM HDD at newegg.com for $90. Might be the one to go with.

I heard 7200 RPM is too much for the PS3 to handle on those bigger HDDs, and it will eventually lead to overheating issues.
