And FTR, I was a proponent of drafting Sheldon Richardson last year, you know, the defensive rookie of the year who plays a position we currently suck at.

Fine.

That still doesn't justify giving up 2 picks for a QB you aren't willing to pay a large contract to a year later

JFC o.city. Do you really think the players we lost are massive losses?

The only question is Albert, and we looked fine when he was out of the lineup.

Do you think all th players we are replacing them with will not only be adequate but be upgrades? Cause if they aren't, we didn't improve from last year.

So just pay without negotiating? That's what your point has been?

Reasonable football discussion is almost impossible here. If we start a thread on Dontari Poe's ability to impact the opponents' running game, that thread will likely end up as a bashfest against Pioli, Cassel and drafting tackles high in round one, and some Alex Smith argument will probably get tossed in, too.

It just the way it is here, now.

So Poe sucks? I thought he was pretty good myself.

Do you know what position Richardson plays?

Asamoah was benched last year. No big loss.
Dave toub>DMC. DAT should be a nice weapon.
Walker>Jackson 43 pressures to 8 I think we upgraded
Schwartz was a loss, but we'll see with Rishaw. Nobody knows.

We're relying on draft picks, so nobody can say for sure. I can tell you now that Albert was our only major loss.

Hell I think my grandma is an upgrade over the filth at safety that is now off the team

"An abundance of free agents." What the **** does that mean? We lost Jon Asamoah, Branden Albert, Kendrick Lewis, Tyson Jackson, and Dexter McCluster.

Considering what they were paid to sign, their absolutely replaceable production, and the fact that the money we saved will be used to pay Justin Houston... Yes. We actually DID improve purely by subtraction.

When you factor in that - for once - we aren't either replacing our head coach, system, or coordinators, but rather simply continuing to build on success, there is no reason to think they won't be a better team than last year.
