Yes, there was McGary but we liked Taylor more because Andy values pass blocking over run blocking. I don't believe Taylor is worth that much over McGary. But whatever.

I mean, feel free to take that data and apply your own additional criteria, and be sure to carefully define "his spot."
His spot is when he plants his back foot at the end of his drop. Whether it's a 3, 5 or 7 step drop, when he hits the back foot that's his spot. Stepping up to throw is not being moved off your spot.

I'm sure a lot of you thought the oline did great against the Bengals, so i went ahead and just rewatched the game, charting every Mahomes pass.

When he dropped back he scrambled out of the pocket 3 times, he was moved off his spot 8 times, with 3 of those being designed QB roll outs.

He threw the ball from his spot 23 times. 12 of those times he threw it in less than 2.5 seconds, 1 time was a touchdown and 1 was a strip sack.

Of the 34 times he dropped back, only 10 times did he attempt a pass from 2.5 seconds or later from his spot.

Every offensive lineman gets an automatic W for every pass he threw before 2.5 seconds. Of the 10 times he threw after 2.5 seconds there was either pressure near or around him or the Bengals only rushed 3/4 and in several occasions (didn't count them all) the Chiefs had extra help blocking.

No, i've never been a fan of PFFs grades. The only positive thing i'll say about their grades is that they're at least bad across the board, so they're somewhat relative. If a QB stands in the pocket for 3+ seconds, he deserves credit for the sack.

McGary was a guy i wanted the Bengals to get, followed by Eluemunor, who was super cheap. Both were better than anything the Bengals or Chiefs ran out there.

McGary is as bad of fit as Brown. Zero chance they ever go that route again.

When he doesn't commit a penalty he's ok but the problem is he almost set the record for most penalties by a single player in the last decade.

Allowed just 1 pressure tonight per the postgame. No QB hits or sacks allowed. Was amazing in pass pro.

I mean, he played pretty well. The false start was stupid, but other than that, he kept Pat clean. Isn't that THE point?
