The team with the #1 overall draft pick last year is now 5-0. There's only so much we can bitch and cry about.

I'm making a simple observation. Unfortunately, I don't think there's much Dorsey and Reid can do about the WR position this season, unless Dorsey is somehow able to pull a rabbit out of his hat, like he did with McGrath, Parker and Coooper. |

Bowe is playing lazy, but be is getting bracketed and his quarterback doesn't throw into coverage.
I'd like to think that as we force defenses to cover our other weapons, teams will be forced to give Bowe some one on one looks and we can capitalize on those opportunities when they are there. |

What's really odd about him this year is that while he's struggling to separate and make tough (and easy) catches, his blocking is still great. It's like he's disinterested in catching the ball. Also, I think he looks too lean, at least on TV. He looks 205-210 to me, instead of 225-230. |

I don't really think Bowe is playing lazy. Its always how he has played really. Its just that Smith really doesn't target him much. Crabtree's stats last year should tell the story there. The reason he got thrown today was because Avery was hurt.

He just doesn't *appear* to be a guy that plays as if "his life depended on it". To his credit, he's never played like that and always had good numbers. But this season, it's just not working. |

He plays with passion. You can see it when he's blocking. There aren't of WRs that block for their teammates better than Bowe.

Id like to see some quick hitters to bowe on slants. Thats always worked. Hes too big of a body to stop consistently when he can just box the corner out every play. Put it on his chest, and worst case scenario is incompletion.
