Do you think QB is a need? If the Panthers believe Newton or another QB is better than Clausen and could be the face of their franchise for years to come, would you agree with that pick?

I think the same thing that I have heard out of Shefter, Mayock, Kiper and so on does. That this years QB class is very very weak. The strongest QB in this draft is like a 3rd or 4th best QB in a lot of other drafts. Because I watch the SEC and especially the Hogs games I have gotten to see Newton. He is not the best QB in this draft even IMO. He is very RAW and will take a long time to be good if he ever does. He is very immature and struggled with the playbook in college.

I would not do that even for Julio Jones. Bowe looks like he is about to break it open.

Players CAN NOT be traded this year iihc. And why di people have an obsession with trading away our young ascending players for draft picks this year?

Why the **** would we trade a proven player who turned in an all pro season last year for an unproven WR? Especially one that plays the same position. What would adding Jones and trading Bowe do?

Players can be traded because of the Judge Nelson ruling, but most likely teams won't want to trade them because they don't know the rules of the 2011 year yet.

Trading Bowe to get Jones leaves us in exactly the same position we're in now. Trading bowe plus a pick is one step forward, two steps back.

I love Bowe and clowned people yesterday for talking about trading players in the draft.

I was just having fun with that post.

I dont think Jones is a lot better than Bowe. He has the same problems with drops on easy catches, concentration and doesnt really have elite "game speed" (I know he ran a good track time at the combine 4.39 or so)

Jones is a similar player and I would love to have both in the huddle, but to trade too much to get him in such a strong receiver class wouldnt be the best thing we can do.

But I wouldnt complain, either.
