Can't see Lebron making a decision because of a current basketball squad. There's so much turnover in the NBA. And why head to Chicago? To follow in a shadow of a former player? And to be compared to MJ day in/day out in MJ's stadium? No way. He makes his own mark. He's already dropped #23. It's NY Knicks or bust. NY is going to be it, IMO. Not NJ/Brooklyn. He becomes King of the largest sports city with the potential to be a billionaire.

Wade has been amazing. As much talk as there has been about Lebron having a garbage supporting cast, Wade's has been worse over the past 4 seasons.

That wrecking ball, 'drive into the big guys and hope I draw a foul' ball he plays pisses me off to no end. He's developed a more nuanced game over the last couple of seasons, but his first 4 years in the league were nothing but 'drive and hope the officials bail me out'. It was Allen Iverson without the crossover. I respect the stones it took to play it, but I never cared when he got injured because that's what's going to happen when you play like he does. If Pat Riley coached against him instead of for him, he'd have had his big men clothesline Wade a few times and knock him out of the game. The 2006 NBA Finals did a ton of damage to the league. That entire series was decided by the officials and damn near drove me from the league altogether. Wade's game has developed since then and he's become a far more complete scorer. But much like most people continue to hold Kobe's 'gunner' seasons against him, I'm probably never going to be able to stand Dwayne Wade.

Why do people think Lebron to Chicago is a slam dunk? After Noah opened his ugly, fat mouth, I think Lebron has to think long and hard about whether he wants to be teammates with the guy. Add that to the idea that he'll always be compared to Jordan and I just don't see it happening.
I don't think New York's a slam dunk either. He won't want to go to a dysfunctional franchise. Frankly, I'm surprised everyone thinks it's a guarantee he'll leave Cleveland. He was born in Akron and knows a ton of people there and I think he loves living there. I don't think he wants to build the reputation for being unable to finish what he's started and in terms of supporting cast? It's not nearly as bad as people say. Just extremely poorly coached. Kobe and MJ benefited big time from Phil Jackson jumping in and I think Lebron needs that kind of a coach to take him to the next level. I can't imagine that Mike Brown will be back next season and I can't imagine the Cavs wouldn't try to bring a best-in-class coach and if Lebron stays, they can probably get a terrific coach. Honestly, bring in a Guard who can play defense and a Center whose only job is to get 10 pts, 10 rebounds, and play good defense and the Cavs' team is as good of a supporting cast as you'd want for Lebron. |

If I were LeBron...I'd sign 1-2 year contracts for a few years in a row...
I don't even think it's risky...sure...he might suffer some freak injury but what are the odds? Sign a 1 year deal in Chicago...if it works out...move on to New York...etc. etc. etc. Why not? |

Yeah, I'd drop my favorite team, too, if they added the most talented player in the league.

i think Cole is gonna struggle for awhile in the NBA.
his offensive game isn't developed enough and defensively he always got help. he's a hard worker so he will improve but i imagine he's gonna start slow

Mike Brown is 95% of the reason they lost that series.

The excitement he would generate on the knicks and the adoration he would receive from NYC would be unmatched. If he could turn that team into a contender Madison Square Garden would be rocking like no other arena in basketball. That is definitely a draw that other teams in the Lebron sweepstakes won't have, IMO.
