Incredibly misleading thread title. That's just a publicity media question to garner response.. they're not actually saying "fire harbaugh/kaep."

No. I do not think that Harbaugh is the problem. I think Harbaugh is a heat of the moment guy, and that his heat of the moment impulsiveness lead him to make a decision that didn't need to be made yet.

Him choosing Kap when he did, before Kap was ready was bad for the 49ers. And now they are stuck with it.

The best of Kap you saw in 2012 on his run to the super bowl. Its never going to equal that again. The guy you saw in the playoffs who completed less than 60 percent of his passes, and choked again when it mattered most, is probably what you are going to see a lot of. They have a book on him, and once they get the book on you, its very hard to change.

Im considered an alex smith guy, but im much more of a guy who just saw NOTHING that others saw in Kap.

harbaugh is an amazing coach. I would love to play for the guy. But his loyalty to his players, and his decisions being made in the heat of the moment can get you into trouble.

It happened when he was a player, and he broke his hand punching Jim Kelly, it happened to him his first year in SF, when he had that fiasco with Jim Schwartz, and it happened with the Kap and Alex decision.

shrugs.

But they didn't. And while Kap took ownership of the loss, which is what a leader does, he also said that he would take that match up every time, which is STUPID.

That's what people hate about Kap and why he gets the rap he does. He is a stubborn know it all, who feels he is above it all.

There is no shame in going to boldin, or to Vernon davis in that situation who had better matchups.

He throws it like hes throwing a baseball, and because he has such a strong arm, he feels like every throw has to be that way.

49ers fan here. Kap was presented as the "solution" to the "Alex Smith check-down" problem in 2012. Yes, we got to the Super Bowl because of our defense. That year, Smith already won 6 games for the 49ers. Kap was the unknown factor in which defenses didn't know how to prepare for him. Came 2013, Kap is the undisputed QB. He comes across as a cocky, and stubborn kid during interviews and post games. He lacks the professionalism of a matured leader off the field. He plays selfish, wanting to take the big wow plays more. I don't like him since then...it is frustrating to see Harbaugh uses a super-bowl talented team to train and carry a QB who plays like a rookie 3 years studied in the same system. gores, justin smith or even VD might be wasted because of the Kap experiment

If every coach and quarterback were fired because they got beat in the playoffs in a close game then Alex Smith and Andy Reid would've been out of the league long ago. They were the 5 seed and had to go through tremendous odds to just get to the Superbowl. Stop bitchin and just enjoy the fact that the 49ers CAN get to the level when many teams can't even reach the playoffs or .500 football.

Good read I read it all. Imo kaep sucks and like that article said, he has the best pieces in football around him. Best online. Great running backs . Crabtree boldin Davis manningham. All better wrs, the 2 best lbs in football. Aldon smith justin smith? He's a product of a talented roster and great coaching staff. When 49ers start losing pieces they r fuked. I honestly wonder if harbaugh knows that kaep sucks and is looking into new areas for a qb. I guess future drafts will tell

You should learn the difference between bitching, and having a football discussion.

I do, you're bitching about everything negative, nothing positive, I'm having a football discussion about how you should see the glass half full. Did you lose money on the game, is that why you care so much? Cause I can guarantee you nobody gives a shit. Take the loss like a man, get over it and come back next year when the 49ers reach the NFC title game again to talk about how terrible you have it.
