What's the Odometer Reading on your Daily Driver?

The apricot BMW just turned over 97,000 miles this weekend, which isn't bad for a 14 year-old car. It still looks pristine other than a couple of door dings and a mysterious dimple on top of the trunk.

What's your vehicle got, and how many miles can a vehicle have before you start thinking about selling it?

There's not even a hint of a bell curve in this data. Fascinating. If you divvy it up into 25,000 mile increments (with some estimating on the categories, we have the following responses:

0-25k - 17 responses
25-50k -15
50-75k - 18
75-100k - 18
100-125k - 20
125-150k - 10
150-175k - 23
175-200k - 9
200-225k - 6
225-250k - 6
250-275k - 3
275-300k - 3
300k+ - 4

The numbers tail off past 175k, but it's a long tail. And below that it's almost perfectly evenly distributed.

2007 Camry (bought in May '06) with 64,000 miles. It's only used to drive to work and around town. I fly if I go to distant destinations, not counting the occasional day-trip.

50,000 on my 1995 Lincoln Towncar. Just had my main vehicle totaled in January by a speeding driver with a suspended license. It worked out nice though since this Lincoln is like brand new and drives like a dream.

I went ahead and picked the 200001 to 250000, because the mileage currently is 199780 and I drive just over 100 miles a day to college and back not including the regular ole running I do. I imagine it will have many many more put on it before I get rid of it if I ever do.
