If Teddy Bridgewater really does fall, do you draft him?

I'm seeing rumors that Bridgewater is falling like a rock. He might even slip into the 2nd round.

You are making the Chiefs selection at #23 and Teddy Bridgewater has fallen, do you pick him?

My hate has no direction.

It emanates in a full circle.

Alex Smith is not a guy you can't throw away. You can.

If Bridgewater is there at 23, and they have scouted him to the point where he is in the top 3 on their draft board of the players left then it would be ****ing stupid to pass on him. You could sit him for a year, let Alex play his remaining year and then let him go, maybe even tag and trade him, and use the saved 8-9mil a year to sign Houston.

Alex is a top 15-20 QB at best. If you pass on a QB you like because you have a bottom half QB as your starter then you deserve to ****ing lose.
Alex is not a bottom half QB, and they are going to extend him in all likelihood. I don't think Teddy is a crappy prospect, I just don't think he's going to be a player even of Alex's stature.

If Bridgewater is sitting there at 23, I can see us doing all we can to trade back with a QB needy team behind us.

Bottom half? Really?? I think you may be reaching a bit there. He may not be a top 5 QB in the league, but he is definitely not in the bottom half. He started off slow last year on a new team with a new coach. But his play after the bye and in the playoff game was among the best in the league. I wasn't happy with the trade or his play early on, but his play late gives me hope. If you can't see that, then it's because you just don't want to see it. That being said, I would still take Bridgewater. If he can be the franchise QB that we hope for, then we need to run to the podium and take him.

We're on the same page with Alex. JD is the one that doesn't like him.

And I'm just not sold on Bridgewater for whatever reason. I was willing to take Geno last year and let him sit a couple of seasons to learn from Alex and Andy, so I have no good reason why the same thing wouldn't work for Teddy. I think I just like the other options we'll have to bring in an impact player at 23 that will help the team immediately.

He just had the best year for a QB in KC since Trent Green and it was just his first year here. That gives me hope. I have a question for you JD. If Alex throws for 4000+ yards, 35+ TD's, and around 8 ypa next year do you still want rid of him? Because if he continues to play to the level he was playing after the bye, those numbers are achievable. They would also be at least top 10 in the league. Maybe top 5. I'm not saying he will. Just asking if he does, does your opinion of him change?

Wont have to worry about that because it's not going to happen.
