yeah, that's the correct comparison. What makes you think the FS has more turnover opportunities than the SS does? Did you not watch Gronk and Edelman eat us alive? Don't you realize that those slot receiver and TE routes are in the SS's wheelhouse more often than not?

This. If they want to give Ford a contract.....now is the time. Franchising him and then signing him is going to increase the size of the contract a shit ton because he's going to look at that franchise tag and want that per year starting out.

A free safety, by design and definition, spends more time reading the quarterback. You get more chances at interceptions and turnovers that way

You don’t make a lot of plays playing man in terms of taking the ball away

If a team is willing to pony up the draft picks you take them and free up the $ and get the young talent.

That'd depend on what he does this coming season. How much is a top 5 pass rusher worth?

Because any good player will cost $$$.

Flowers is no more sure of a bet than Ford. The guy has never even had more than 8 sacks.

And he's in a scheme with the best defensive coaches in the NFL.
