Smith was playing the first 9 games not to lose, the same thing he's done most of his career. Since the loss at Denver, he's clearly started to take chances he never took earlier in the year. As I've said before, I have no interest in early season Alex Smith and hope he doesn't fall back to those habits.

Most of the last 3 years... when he decided to not force plays and put the world on his shoulders. He said as much in an interview years back.

Think of the early games of a yr 1 offense as a boxer after the opening bell. He will often start out simply strafing and throwing cautious jabs... feeling out his opponent. I too like the Smith we have seen more recently... but even if he slips a bit back into careful-Alex... whatever it takes to win.

That was nice, and why I even stick around in the first place. I see in the recent pages that even KC fan to KC fan, you guys can't help but to rip into each other... even without assistance of SF fans. So let's not kid ourselves... sometimes an asshole is just an asshole, and was never raised with communication skills.

I think it is unfortunate that some of you (who I know agree with me via sent PMs and + reps) ... as well as the moderators themselves... won't step up and agree with me. But I get it... no one wants to join sides with a "non-100%-KC fan."
I've been here since the day the board started.

This place has never been shy about "outing" people, sharing PMs and rep comments, or otherwise doing things that are unpopular.

If there were THAT many people who were "secretly" supportive of you, we'd know about it.

See, that's the benefit of having actually been here and not being a bandwagon jumper.

As an aside, isn't it funny that people like Denise, BlackBob, and this guy accuse Chiefsplanet of groupthink?

After all, it couldn't possibly be him. It's the 1000 people that can't ****ing stand him that are the problem.

well, I jumped on this wagon back before the season began... when the Chiefs were 0-0 coming off a 2-14 season. I am very glad I did, because this season has been exponentially enjoyable for me.

I have to wonder though... why are YOU not being a big butt-hurt pussy like the others?

( and bothering to communicate at all? instead of just putting me on ignore )

A lot of people think QBs really earn their money by being effective in obvious passing situations (3rd and long).

Here are some amazing 3rd and long splits:

QB A: 30-47 503 yards, 4TDs, 1INT, 10.7 YPA, 119.4 rating
QB B: 21-39 291 yards, 1TD, 2INT, 7.49 YPA, 65.2 rating

One of these QBs is Peyton Manning, and the other is Alex Smith. Oh -- Alex Smith is QB A.

Try again.

That's some dedication there. You're like an Alex cosplayer.

It is very strange we are better on 3rd and long vs. 3rd and short.

That's for 9+ yards on 3rd?

I think 6 or 7+ would be a better reference point...or even 3rd down overall.
