Bray - the only QB on the roster with potential to be a franchise QB for years to come, time to trade him right now for a 3rd round pick and re-sign Stanzi after the Jaguars cut him!

all it means is that he got to pick where he wanted to go, as opposed to being drafted somewhere.

There are a lot of hypotheticals. I know that in the past I have read about players asking teams not to draft them in the 7th round so they could pick where they wanted to go, and it being accepted by those teams.

Or, just people thought he was too big of a risk.

I guess that is the difference in our opinions. The draft status is really irrelevant to me.

Players fall through the cracks. People like Alex Smith are drafted before Aaron Rodgers, Giovanni Carmazzi gets drafted before Tom Brady, somehow Matt Cassel gets drafted after not taking a snap in college.

Weird stuff happens.

First, that's an opinion. Stop stating it like it's fact.

Second, you have absolutely no idea what the Chiefs have in Bray. All you have is speculation based on meaningless pre-season snaps. Additionally, since you're a person that I doubt understands coverages, fronts, blitz philosophies, route concepts, spacing philosophies, principles that vary from each offensive tree, run principles, hand technique, footwork, hots+SAs and how they work/vary with concepts/protections/philosophies and likely doesn't have any kind of connection to the coaching staff or real means of insight, it's pretty easy to say that your "opinion" is worthless at best.

Additionally, all I've heard was that this year's group of QBs sucked and next years would be so much better with multiple legitimate prospects that weren't nearly as bountiful this year. Is that not true or does every QB draft class (sans the UDFAs/late picks) seem horrific and far too risky for you?

Aaron Rodgers fell thru the cracks all the way down to the late first round.

You are playing with house money with Bray.
Because flipping an UDFA (who will likely be not as good a player as Ryan Mallett) for a 3rd round pick is moronic.

Nobody said that. Your chances of getting someone that is productive are higher, statistically speaking.

Get back to me with a name you think will be a 3rd round pick and have the physical talent of Bray.

I'll be waiting.
