Like I said, Georgia might be banged up at WR and RB, but it still has great athletes at those spots and it has advantages - Great QB and Great OL - that should help those RBs and WRs succeed. I still think Georgia is awesome and still worry about Murray carving up Missouri's soft defense. To win, Missouri would need: 1) Its defensive line to continue playing well against the run and continue to put heavy pressure on the QB (Tall task against UGA's OL) 2) it's offense to continue hot knifing through defenses (35+ points vs. UGA a must) 3) To protect the ball - at least +1 in TO battle 4) Its back seven to limit after-tackle yards 5) To stay out of a situation where Aaron Murray can win the game on a last drive (because he probably would)

Watching Missouri and Kansas City side by side each week is a funny feeling. They feel similar but in different ways. Each has one side of the ball that gets the hell after it and another one that has lapses but absolutely shows up when you need it to.

If Missouri manages to knock off Georgia in Athens, it has the next two biggest contenders for the SEC East (Florida and SC) at home. It also gets aTm at home (at Kentucky, at Ole Miss). It wouldn't be a cake walk by any means, but a 6-0 Mizzou team would have to become the favorite for SEC East champ. I don't think Missouri would have a shot against Alabama in the SEC title game, so I don't buy the real title shot thing. But an 11-1/10-2 BCS bowl/championship game appearance would seem to be on the table.

I can't recall a season this far along in which the upside is so high and the downside so low. 10 wins wouldn't shock me...but neither would 6.

Wow. Just looked at some stats on CFB stats.com (Great site, btw).
Georgia defense ranks (SEC): 14th in scoring defense 13th in YPA (8.1 YPA) 14th in INT (1) 12th in QB rating allowed (147.64) 6th in YPR (3.78, one spot behind Mizzou) 10th in total defense They are middle of the pack in most of the other defensive categories. The two best offenses they have faced are Clemson and LSU, and Missouri is a pretty good comparison to those offenses. Of course, now that the facts show Mizzou should have great success against Georgia's D, they will pitch a shutout or something...

Georgia's Rivals reporter just said that he "would be shocked" if Gurley plays Saturday.

Funny...or not so funny observation....how much of a difference one year can make. At this time last year we were all upset about where we were headed in our first season of SEC football.
Now look at us.... |

The line is down to 8...a three point drop in two days.

I was thinking the same thing but I'm trying to be positive. lol After last year it feels good to be ranked again, I didn't think we would see a number next to our name in this conference for a while, even if it's for just 1 week.
