A lot of people complain about the extra 100 dollars but the truth is the kinect is a great investment. For example, I can't count how many times I will be eating and instead of setting my plate aside and scrambling for the remote you just say "Xbox go to netflix...Stop, rewind.." etc.. |

as AB mentioned, I love Gran Tursimo / Forza type games. A lot of times during the week, I only have about a 1/2 hour; so not really enough time to get into GTA very much.
The one thing that pissed me off about GT was there was no ****ing Porsche models. WTF. my next driving game, I will definitely be getting a decent wheel. I've never been able to really master driving with the sticks.

I hear fanetec has very nice wheels but I don't think any are out yet for ps4/xbox one. I am sure they will be by the time the next forza/Gran Turismo are out. |

I did a search for wheels and there's one called the Thrustmaster TX Ferrari 458 Italia Edition for the xbox one coming out or out but seems to be sold out everywhere that's $399.99 !? WTF? Apparently an exact replica of the actual car's driving setup- just slightly smaller at 7:10 scale, but no clue why they would make it smaller unless it's just for ease of use as a gaming wheel and the slightly smaller size was negligible in terms of it feeling like you're using a "midget" wheel - sort of like those Wii wheels that incorporated the original controller in them. That seems a little pricey for an accessory you use with a limited number of games? I think it has a full setup of racing pedals, steering wheel paddle shifters and all, but that seems a bit of a price gouge when by comparison you can get another One for just another $100 - or even worse comparatively get yourself a PS4. I am at least intrigued by what the experience is like playing with something that supposedly so expensive- because for that price the thing better be packed with rumble sensors and I would hope the wheel feedback would mimic a true steering wheel such as actually feeling road feedback and give when pushing through corners in relation to acceleration. I mean that's the whole criticism of steer/drive by wire setups for driving enthusiasts because they provide no road feedback or feel- even though they are open up the possibility for much more advanced drivetrains. They're supposedly also cheaper / less maintenance in the long run, but I have heard almost no talk about finding a way to provide that same road to wheel feedback with the by wire systems. That's why it's only used in a very limited number of cars - because enthusiasts and even casual drivers don't like driving numb. Has anyone had any experience with similar wheels by the same company or actually seen this wheel for the Xbone?

High performance wheels have force feedback etc.. They look awesome to play with. There are a lot of reviews on youtube of high performance wheels like Fanatec's CSR, but wait until the fanatec wheels come out for the next gen consoles. They are cheaper/better in comparison with Thrustmaster (from what I have heard). I will have a wheel when Project Cars drops. |

The wheel by itself maybe, with no console, but that does you no good.
