Rashad Vaughn, possibly the greatest recruit in the history of recruits is going there... even though he was paid by the evil UNLV empire... and that's the only reason he decided on them.

There is almost no reason for the Big 12 to expand right now.

The students are going to lose section U in AFH. After reading the story... I am having trouble sympathizing with the students at all. They still get both baskets, every student who wants to go to a game will still be able to go, and its just one section. Its a great section, but they lost it because they didn't want to pay a measly little $50 annual fee, which most students would have just financed with their big student loans. $200 over 4 years, thats not something they should have noticed. Don't want to pay it? Fine, the Athletic Department can try to make up the shortfall by giving those seats to wealthy alums.

I still bet they would rather get Florida State.

I think that is one of only 2 reasons why the Big 12 might ever be interested in expansion. If FSU called after their GOR ran out, you have to listen.
The only other reason is if it was proven, without any doubt whatsoever, that the lack of a CCG hurts the conference's chances of getting into the playoff. Right now it looks like either a wash or perhaps even a benefit to not play that game.

@basketballtalk: Report: Joel Embiid’s physical with Cavaliers showed ‘enough red flags’ that they won’t take him No. 1 overall http://t.co/n7zuIjiU9z
