Could have easily had Jason Bay, Mark Reynolds, and numerous other veterans with declining ability, but specific, helpful skills for us.

The Cardinal outfielders have less fundamentals than most little leaguers. How many times have Jay and Beltran run into each other this year? Or like last night when they just stare at each other on a ball the cf absolutely has to take charge on.

I just heard a stat that the Cards are hitting .134 through the first 3 games of the NLCS, a full 20+ points worse than any team in LCS history, and yet they still lead it 2-1...wow

Shelby really inflated his stats against some weak opponents this year, and struggled on the road and against good teams. That being said, I don't know that Lynn is any more deserving of the start given his track record. I guess we roll the dice with Lance and hope the bats can wake up....
