Did anyone else notice that when they showed the shark just before Sawyer attempted to swim to the other part of the raft, the shark had that emblem that was on the lab coat that Desmond was wearing. very interesting as to why a shark would have that emblem. Wasn't Rouseau and her gang a bunch of reseachers? Maybe genetically altering animals and sea life. Who the hell knows but I know for sure that shark had that emblem.

Also, Walts dad gave him a white polar bear as a final gift.
That should ring a bell with Lost watchers. The others...(the end of this show) are they the other survivors of the crash? Those computers were obviously in the 70's and early 80s. Dos commands. I agree that desmond dude seems to old to be that wierded out french womans son. |

Once again, the show is beginning to disappoint. All week prior to last nights show, they advertised that the 'fate of all the survivors' would be revealed during the show.
There was nothing revealed, in fact, last nights show was the same as episode one in a different perspective. While I can appreciate that as it also touched on the 2 on the raft, but dammit, nothing new happened until the last 2 minutes of the show and NOTHING was revealed. Hell, there was more substance in the trailers for next week. The show was good, it offered more substance to the 1 hour first episode that I honestly thought should have been 2 hours last week. I was just displeased with the false advertising as to the substance of last nights show. It could be a sign that the writers dont know where they're going with this show and are stalling for time.

I have to agree with Titus, I almost walked away midway through this episiode. It was slowly dragging and had almost none of the excitement (and I DON'T mean action shots) of the season before or season opener. I hope they rebound soon, otherwise it's looking like a wild goose chase of nonsensical plots and good guys vs myterious group of bad guys.

We've had a healthy dose of "Gilligan's Island" and "The Twilight Zone". Now it looks as if they've decided to add a dash of "Lord of the Flies".

They went further than usual with the first episode, actually going into the hatch and showing the inside and Desmond, etc. Typically it seems like they would draw that out over 2-3 weeks. Usually the show doesn't move that fast. They tried, and did, reign everything back in this week.
I read somewhere else that they show different trailers for next weeks episode in Canada. The trailer in the Great White North focussed on what happens in the hatch whereas the one I saw was on the raft people. |

Also, from everything I've heard, the promos are put together by the network...not by the people making the show. And from some commentaries I've listened to (like Simpsons), the promos aren't appreciated by the people on the show.
Maybe thats just an aside, maybe not. |
