That is an interesting perspective. It makes sense I think my thought it would be it allows for more creative and dynamic offense when it does work. Makes the difference between elite players and average players much bigger than in other sports.

Think more like boxing. You might get only one knockdown in the entire fight, but it's a big deal when you finally do.

I think the hate goes back to HS. The real athletes/tough guys played football in the fall. The left overs played soccer and played hacky sac(sp) in gym class while wearing some type of hemp/marijuana accessory. When we made fun of them you would always get this "world's most popular sport" crap. Like we cared the rest of the world are a bunch of pussies

I honestly dont quite understand the popularity of soccer. I went to a Sporting game one time cuz I won tickets. It was even more boring than watching ice skating. Not for me. No scoring. Back and forth w nothing really happening and ppl chanting dumb stuff over and over. Its like some ppo go out of there way to want to act and embrace something european. If we are gonna have soccer, at least Amercanize the god damn thing. With that said I am pleased with its prosperity because im really hoping the Legends area continues to take off and grow.

I don't watch soccer on TV, but I have been to a few matches at Sporting Park and I had a blast. Ohh and big ****ing deal if Zach starts some SportingKC threads, they are the only franchise in the area that gives a **** about winning.

The "it's boring because there's no scoring" has never really made much sense to me. And I'm not a soccer fan. I've watched plenty of football games which ended at 7-3, and they weren't boring.

Were you rooting for a team in those 7-3 games? If I had to watch a game that was 7-3 and I had no rooting interest I would think it likely sucked.
