Knowing the Chiefs they'll pick Daniel instead of developing one guy who's basically already Daniel and could be Alex with very little effort and another guy who could be something special. Gotta be safe about these things.

Nick Jacobs @Jacobs71 3m
“@ConnorDawson9: it's early, but who do you think is the odd man out in the QB corps?” Either Daniel or Murray goes IR for rookie season.

Nick Jacobs @Jacobs71 54s
“@frenchy8985: brays kc future over or chase released?” Bray has upside but training camp will decide it.

Dorsey has stated that he likes players with some size.
I have a hard time seeing him carrying two 6'-0" QBs on the roster.

I chose Peyton Manning.
Bray would get a mysterious shoulder injury in the pre season and I'd IR him. |

Unfortunately for your lover boy Bray, cutting one of the 6' QB's likely doesn't get him any closer to taking a snap under center in anything of relevance.

trust Reid on this one but i hope he would give the tie to Bray and not keep Daniel around just because of experience

I agree with this although I don't think there's any way there will be a tie between Bray and Daniel on current ability. IMO, it's a choice between Daniel's immediate value as a competent backup and Bray's longer term value based on his higher ceiling. I'd be real nervous if they decide to cut Daniel before this season.

For all we know, he could be a terrible backup should he have to start a few games. It's not like he's Kyle Orton or anything like that. |
