And I need a new scale. The one I have gives a different reading every time I step on it.

Great, I get to start off the year with an injury. Been jogging a lot and was able to go outside for the first time in a month. Seems like I may have a minor stress fracture on the side of my tibia.
This isn't going to help. |

I joined a local wellness program today. My co-worker is doing it as well, and she's going to be a great accountability partner, and she knows a ton about different nutrients and such. It's more expensive, but I'm trying to eat more organic foods.
Anyway, it cost me $30 to join this wellness program. We meet once per month to weigh in, which I will do this Monday at 6pm. They have sponsors throughout the community that are providing discounts to members of the program, plus they are providing significant prizes for door prizes at the monthly meetings. I'm really looking forward to doing this. Discounts, information, accountability, and encouragement. Anyway, I did good today, went to MaMa Jean's (a local organic grocery store and deli) for their organic salad bar. I bought a breakfast burrito and ate it for dinner tonight along with making a salad later to use up the remainder of the chicken breasts I baked Monday. I'm learning that I love baby spinach. I'm not doing the no-carb thing, but I am watching my carbs and keeping them to early in the day. Watching my fat intake and making sure that the fats I do eat are the good kind. The same for sugars. |

In trying to find a fiber-rich snack, I bought a box of Fiber One bars. Now I've been tapped by the EPA as a new methane source.

Good to go until dinner. A baby spinach salad with carrots, egg, and two tablespoons of light ranch dressing (more calories than I need, but I like the fat), a piece of homemade beef jerky for some protein (although probably more sodium than I need), 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce sprinkled with some cinnamon, and a vanilla Yoplait Light yogurt (gotta get my calcium in there). I didn't eat breakfast, and ate all of that over the course of two hours. Now, once I see Green-Beckham in the Army All American Bowl, it's time to get outsie and wash my car.
WOOHOO! One handed catch and a TD! And they, of course, mentioned Hillcrest in Springfield. Way to represent! Last edited by luv; 01-07-2012 at 02:05 PM.. |

Thought I did myself a good turn my choosing the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl instead of a burger from Jack in the Box. Then I find out I just consumed over 1700mg of sodium. Its like I just ate a salt lick.

EatSmart has 4 scales in the top 5 of consumer reviews. 1 measures all the bf% crap for $13 less. The others are just simple scales from $28-$32 and all have a ton of reviews. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_n_...rank_authority Last edited by jd1020; 01-07-2012 at 10:32 PM.. |

If I remember right JITB has a grilled Chicken Salad that is damn tasty and if you put the right dressing on it makes for a good healthy lunch.

I recently bought EA Active 2 for Wii and tried an 'easy' 30min workout for the first time today. Its either gonna help me keep he weight off....or kill me.
