Now line up single file and apologize to Clay in this thread.

It's quite silly. I mean, who gives a shit? What, do any of us get paid for our "expert" analysis? Is anyone really impressed? Seems so childish and petty.
This.

Said it many times since Sunday... the coaches clearly overestimated their ability to take scrubs and make them capable. So far, at least...

coaching hubris FTL!

Bad move to pay Alex like this... oooops. Good for Smith... bad for KC... so far.

Looking back, I don't think so.

This team is going to get better, but I didn't even look at how the schedule fell. We have an impossible task the next 5 games.

I would be SHOCKED if we pull out a win. It's murderers row.

My only reason for hoping was that Andy Reid pulled off wins with seemingly having shit at Philly.

I probably wouldn't have. If they weren't planning on fixing anything, I don't see why they bothered to sign Smith... unless this is part of some multi-year effort. They were conceding this season for next year or the year after.... something like that.

I don't know, like I said I'm not a contract/cap analyzer type guy. But I don't see the logic in doing what they did.

As a fan of Smith's though, I was happy that he got the recognition that I do believe he deserves.

Seems unlikely, for sure. There was just no way for the fans to know with any certainty. I really think everyone could have benefited from better play calling yesterday. And no one knew Devito and DJ would fall like that. No one knew till last minute that DAT and Coop would be out. No one knew that Stephenson would miss the 4 games. No one knew that Bowe would be suspended. No one knew if one of these young WRs would step up and impress.

Lots of ifs and maybes... but there was never anything wrong with expecting the best outcomes. This generation of people are just weak... and insulate themselves in false apathy. They worry too much about "being wrong"... "being a sucker." Like anyone worthwhile really would hold their optimism against them.

I could sort of undertsand it if we had our young QBOTF holding a clip board and ALex was a mentor, because from what I understand ...Alex really is a student of the game and very football smart....but I mean this is year #2 of no 'padawan' for him

Is it more, or less, childish and petty than white knighting a grown man to a bunch of people neither him, nor you will never meet?

Asking for a friend.

There's nothing childish or petty about doing that.

Demented and sad... but not childish or petty.

So what you're saying is you were wrong, essentially?

I don't care to comment on who's better between the Smith's but I know that Geno Smith is not a good NFL QB.

If you guys really still yearn for Geno Smith than

He's alright. He is certainly not a franchise QB.

I don't know enough to make any claims regarding what Geno will or will not become.

All I know is I wouldve rather swung the bat than limped off the field with a flaccid cock and 'what if'

More. If by "white knighting" you mean "disagreeing with those who thinks he sucks at Football."
