Where would you most like to move? (continental U.S. only)

So the plan is, in 25 months when Mrs. Z gets her Master's, we are planning to move to Biloxi MS. Biloxi is right on the Gulf- we've vacationed there many times over the last decade, and decided after our last visit that Biloxi is where we want to make our home. We are very excited and can hardly wait for it to happen.

Which got me thinking- where in the continental US would you most like to live? Be realistic- take into account real factors like cost of living, property values, job prospects, quality of schools, climate, geography, etc.

Include a pic of your desired location if you like:

That's a pretty attractive proposition. And, of course, my religion doesn't forbid me from wearing short shorts.

Y'know, I think those are going to be more flattering on you anyway.

That was kind of dumb.

I'm tired of winter. Sick of it. Just want a warm place with no cold winter. California.

California sure has a great climate, but the various other forms of suck must be pretty overpowering the way people/businesses are fleeing.

I love Wisconsin and Minnesota, but those are strictly summer only for me.

I agree. I'm not even saying I'd move to California, just some place with decent all year temps.

Excellent choice! My brother and his wife have a vacation home in Verdi, NV. None of the CA bullshit but all the benefit of Tahoe and Reno.

Newport Beach, Ca or La Jolla, Ca so I could do doughnuts on Mit Romneys front yard. So Cal is perfect if you can afford to live in the right area. If I won the lottery tomorrow I would buy my childhood home in Overland Park and stay there on weekends during the football season or whenever I felt like going to Royals games.

I want to live in one of those sky houses like George Jetson.

And drive a flying car.

But not with my boy Elroy. Little punk stole my wallet.
