Cassels base was gonna be 7.5 and his whole cap hit was gonna be 9.8.

I'm not sold on the Winston 3.5m saving the numbers don't add up. Cassel saves 5.6m if cut if traded we save 9.8m, Andy 2m

Yes, the numbers add up. They lumped his workout bonuses in with his signing bonus, which was only 4 million.

5.875. Alex Smith will carry a 8.5 million dollar cap figure. I think Smith's already been figured into those numbers though.

If the latest @spotrac correction-tweet is correct. The #Chiefs are saving $3.5 million on the cap, not $700k as was originally reported.

Cassel wont be cut till the Alex Smith deal is complete.
