Ok, this is just dumb. The great offensive line, running game, Dante Hall, AND Green were the reason.

And that's a fair argument. Like I said, I wasn't exactly excited about this trade. I have always thought that Smith was not that good. And I really don't follow the 49ers so I haven't really kept up on him the last couple of years. All I know is what I've read/heard lately. Perhaps the Chiefs will still draft a QB and groom him for a year or two while Smith starts. That wouldn't be so bad.

I agree with you, but will always think we gave up too much for him if the reports are correct.

I gotta say that for me, watching Cassel in person looking completely lost in that playoff game against the Ravens was so very depressing. I pretty much knew then and there that he would never do anything good for the Chiefs. Yes, perhaps I should have known before that. But hey, I'm always trying to be optimistic with the Chiefs.

And that is directly related to what exactly? He's better than Cassel, and given the move, the front office apparently doesn't feel like putting all their eggs in the geno basket, contrary to what CP wants. So it is what it is.

1. Better than Cassel is a bullshit argument. We could have signed Jason Campbell and been better than Cassel. 2. Geno was a popular choice here....but do you know what the underlying argument was? Draft a ****ing QB at #1. |

It's not 24/7 for me but I live on the west coast, too, and I watch the Seahawks when I can since they are the local team. My father-in-law is a long time 49ers fan (like, since the 1960's). I've seen enough of Alex Smith to know we won't win shit with him.
