I'm fairly certain that Warner/Chappell owns most of Dio's early catalog but I'm not sure who published his later works. In any case, Wendy Dio can't sue anyone that plays Dio's song or covers them on a tribute album, etc. |

Where songwriters have control (well, if they're smart enough to put it in their contract) is how their songs can be used. For example, we hear every election season about a band or artist to use a song for a political campaign. The record company that owns the "Master Rights" to the recording can issue a Cease And Desist on behalf of the band or artist. Also, bands and songwriters can specify how their music is used in film, television and advertising (again, if they're smart enough to have that written into their contract). But public performances cannot be stopped legally. Oh, and George and Don still hate each other to this day. Whatever. |

My parents adopted a completely arbitrary love of Def Lepard when I was 22. After I left for grad school they started traveling to Def Lepard concerts like they were ****ing Dead Heads.
They never once mentioned them or listened to them when I was a kid. Then, all of a sudden, my mom is taking video of them on her phone at the Iowa State Fair. It still confounds me.

When Dokken was doing Monsters of rock- the rumour was they almost didnt play at the KC show because Don had used all of Georges hair spray. When they came out on stage they didnt look at each other once. Lynch stayed in one place like a statue while Don pranced around on the other side of the stage-lol
Funny they still hate each other-lol They have tried to tour together but they fight more than the Van Halens and Roth-lol |

in St. Louis I told my son to try and watch Peart's drum sticks as he played. The tips were white and stood out. After a couple of minutes he said " Dad he moves too fast-lol" His hands are actually quicker than your eyes can see. I love Bonzo and Moon- but they are just on another level behind him. There are some Amazing drummers coming up the ranks- but i don't think they will ever reach the Professor. |
