This site has no heart

The Chiefs have been abysmal for the first two games this season, that is inescapable. But it is cataclysmic how two games have turned so many people that are professed fans to say that our only hope now lies in losing out this season to grab a college quarter back. The realities of the season are that we don't have berry, moeaki or charles. However, we are only a game out of first place. If the bleeding can be mended and the coaching staff can get decent play from the safeties and DMc shows up as that second round draft pick we've all bitched about - then this season can be saved. To talk about tanking a season or even rooting for it after 2 games to get a college kid is ****ing stupid. It's ****ing stupid.

I am not breaking your balls, it just doesn't make sense.
You don't become a winner having a losing attitude. You guys talk about a franchise QB. I bet Peyton Manning never in his life hoped to lose. Neither did Joe Montana. Or Bart Starr. Or any other franchise QB. Winners do not hope to lose.

Teams with rookie QBs generally struggle in the first year. Peyton went 3-13 and he's the most successful top pick since Troy Aikman (who won only one game in his first year). You're losing two years at minimum, maybe more to get in contention. Luck is not going to win the Super Bowl in his rookie year any more than Bradford (7 wins), Stafford (2 wins), Russell (1 start), Smith (2-5), Eli Manning (1-6), Palmer (no starts), Carr (4 wins), Vick (1-1), or Couch (2-12) did. Those QB's have one Super Bowl appearance between them, none for the teams that drafted them.

Do you play for the Chiefs? I don't therefore my hoping they lose has no effect on their attitude. As I said in another thread. If any of the Chiefs players started trowing games to get Luck or for any other reason, I'd want them cut immediately.

They have control of the situation. We have no control.

I fear that KC will continue to pass on a franchise QB unless they are placed in a position where they can not pass. This is the scenario that is developing.

I pray that we do not go into football purgatory again, also known as 8-8 to 10-6 seasons with a retread QB. If so we will never be in a position to draft a truely talented QB.

In Tony Moeaki's absence, Leonard Pope is on pace for career bests in both receptions and yards.

LOSING has an effect on their attitude. Teams that lose a lot have a hard time becoming winners. They have the mindset of a losing team. Haley spent his first season getting that attitude out of the team and now you guys want to go right back to it.

I'll say it and you guys can flame all you want. If you want your team to lose then you are a loser.

The team is going right back to it. We don't have anything to do with it. And my reaction, and I imagine most people's reaction, to you calling people losers over the internet is "so what".

I don't think that anyone truely wants this team to lose, but they are fearful of what I previously posted:

So, that short term pain for the long term success isn't worth it. Got it.

And who'd have thunk it that saying that it's dumb to think the season isn't lost after two games would be such a polarizing statement.
