Wow, my Mom had IBS, which is often listed with Crohn's in medical test reports etc...so I was reading thru some 'diet and IBS/Crohn's' sites, some people say switch to a low-fiber diet, some people say only high fiber + added bran can cure you. No concensus, looks like you kinda have to 'find your own best path'. You might run a google search on an 'anti inflammatory' diet, and use it as a starting point for something to help make this a little easier. Salmon good, hospital stays bad.
If your Mom has Congestive Heart Failure - and her symptoms sound like my Moms - ask her doctor about Coenzyme Q10. Won't cure, but can help CHF patients. Not a perscription drug in the US so most MD's don't think of it as medicine. But it's a perscription in Japan and Germany and they both use it for CHF. Since her stroke be sure she goes thru the therapy every day, hard as she can (with CHF, that's not very hard I'll grant you). Stroke sucks. Best wishes to both of you. Big dose of Strength and 'Can Do', too.

Glad to hear the rest of the story Mr. FAX. Here's to both yours and your Mom's recovery. The power of many prayers is indeed an amazing manifestation.

Awesome news FAX. Take care of yourself brother. I don't know a lot about Crohn's disease but I lost a friend to it this last year. Do everything you can to take care of it.
