The Smarmy Marthafocker wins again

So Leno gets back the show he was forced to retire from and Conan's back to Late Late Night. Hope Conan has contract language ramming it up NBC's ass. |

I've never been able to sit through the late show with leno...don't like him and never will. I was glad to see him leave to be honest but disappointed when his new show started.

Read the book. No one knew Johnny was announcing his retirement at the prime time press conference. That is why NBC was caught with their pants down. No one was set to take over and the Dave vs. Jay battle began. NBC was trying to avoid that this time around and it backfired.

Leno's show would have been better at the 7pm time slot instead of 9pm IMO.

Jay didn't "agree" to leave. In true business terms he was reassigned, and the new business model didn't work. Conan has yet to pull in the numbers or the money that Jay did in that slot, and at the same time Jimmy is doing as well as Conan did in his old slot. Conan = odd man out. |

NBC to Conan O'Brien -- The Choice Is Yours Posted Jan 8th 2010 12:25AM by TMZ Staff NBC has given Conan O'Brien the option to either do his show from midnight to 1 or leave the network, sources tell TMZ. As TMZ first reported, after the Olympics, Jay Leno will get his 11:30 PM time period back. We're told network execs have told Conan they will let him decide if he wants the midnight to 1:00 AM time slot. If he does, Leno's show will only be a half hour. If Conan walks, Leno will get a full hour, informed sources tell TMZ. Our sources say Conan has not decided what he wants. We do know he's pissed, because he was given no advanced warning this was coming. Conan's people told NBC they are considering the offer. Translation: Mr. O'Brien -- I have Rupert Murdoch on line one, Stephen McPherson on line two, John Landgraf on line three, Jeff Wachtel on line four ... We're told if Conan gets another offer, even though NBC could block the move, they will let him go and give Leno the full hour. stay tuned... |

NBC is stupid...there is a reason the audience quit watching Leno.

Conan is an awesome late night show, but IMO the two WORST things to happen to him were:
1) Andy leaving and 2) Moving to 10:30 Both totally fucked up what made the show great in the first place. And IMO he had to throttle back his entertainment too much for the mass audience. I mean, where was Masturbating Bear? Gaseous Weiner? or this!: |

Intresting news for sure - NBC stations in Mid-Missouri & Springfield are two ratings king holders. KC it is not the case as KMBC and WDAF clean house. As long as those networks don't **** up my gravy train - getting advertisers on their tv stations. Glad I make more off print.

OK, I got tired of following two threads, so I went ahead and merged these with the clearer title. Sorry, BL.
