2012: $5 million base salary (fully guaranteed), $3 million roster bonus, $1.25 million in likely to be earned incentives, $1.75 million in unlikely to be earned incentives 2013: $7.5 million base salary (fully guaranteed), $1 million roster bonus, $1.25 million in likely to be earned incentives, $1.75 million in unlikely to be earned incentives 2014: $7.5 million base salary (not guaranteed), $1.25 million in likely to be earned incentives, $1.75 million in unlikely to be earned incentives AFTER APRIL 1st his 2013 base salary is FULLY guaranteed. So he gets 8 million dollars before even taking a snap as a Chief, so if it's week 3 and Alex Smith gets another concussion or blows his arm out or whatever injury prone nonsense that usually happens to him, we are on the hook for a full salary for this season. the 49ers needed to move him before that date so they didnt have to eat the full 7.5 on their books for this season. We essentially gave them cap relief and they fleeced us for a 2nd rounder now we are on the hook for a full Alex Smith salary for the 2013 season, plus more if he hits is escalators. |

he said half the FAs out there not "one guy last year that only walked because our idiot GM at the time."
it is very obvious that if Dorsey and Reid were here a year earlier that Carr would be locked up |

Indeed. He is. Hes about to make another mistake with paying 10 mil + for mike wallace, while having no secondary.

Again, bring something better to the table than just saying the 49ers were the worst team in football until Alex Smith was replaced. That's just not the case. Bring stuff like the 49ers were not winning with Smith when/because... There is plenty of those stats floating around here. But this case against Smith is weak at best. I'm not saying the 49ers were winning because of Smith. Not at all. But to say they turned it around once he was replaced... |

My next step, if I had time. Is to show who won the other half the games while he was on the bench/IR/injured. It ain't pretty. : puke:
