Anyone here doing the E-Cig / Vape thing?

Thanks to my vape, I've had only one single cigarette in the past 3 weeks. I have zero cravings for them and I feel considerably better. In fact, I still have about 5 smokes left in a pack and just can't see myself smoking those... don't want to.

Even better... 5ml of juice, which costs $5, lasts me about 2 weeks meaning that I am spending less in the long run. I only smoked, at most, a pack a week... but still.

I tried the Blu E-Cigs but they were terrible. Trying to "smoke" out of one of those was like trying to take a hit off a joint that was rolled WAY to tight.

I'm using an eGo-V v2 mega battery with variable voltage control with a gravity tank.

Is the sound coming from the device itself or the coil? Are you using an eGo One?

Yep, eGo one. It's definitely coming from the coil. I just got back home so I'll try it again.

You might want to try taking the coil out and cleaning it with the corners of a paper towel or a q-tip.

Yep, I had to constantly do that with my old one, the coil was always getting flooded. I never had it react quite like that before, probably because it wasn't as powerful. I just did it with this one and now it's working real well. Hopefully it stays that way.

If the wattage isn't adjustable, why change the coil? That seems counter intuitive for a company to inhibit you. Check your airflow rate and understand that the methods for vaping change with the lower resistance. 1.0 is for cigarette-like pulls (mouth to lung), while .5 is meant to be straight inhaled. If your not changing your vaping style to adhere to the coils demands, you could be over/under saturating your wick.

Cool. From what I have heard the 1.0 coils work better than the 0.5 coils on that thing. That could be old info though, as I have also heard that the company had quality control issues with the .05 coils that they have supposedly worked out.

Yup, that too, does it have adjustable airflow? If so you need to dial it tighter with the 1.0 coils because they are mouth-to-lung.

From the site:

Rotate the ring on the atomizer base clockwise to decrease the air inflow, and counterclockwise to enlarge the air inflow.

I'd assume that's what I want since I'm used to drawing off of a cigarette? I have to have it set a little less than halfway to get the vapor cloud I want, I guess we'll see if it screws up on me again.

Yeah, the 1.0 coil on a tighter draw should more closely mimic a cigarette.

It's definitely kicking ass right now. And I've only smoked one real cigarette since I got this going this morning.

Mister E Liquid has some really nice tobacco themed juices at reasonable prices. Depending on the size of the bottle you order it goes from around fifty four to thirty three cents per milliliter. They do free shipping if your order is over fifty dollars.

Here is their tobacco line:

I just ordered a 135 ml bottle of HFC because it is great, and a 10 ml bottle of Rough Neck to try out that flavor.

The best advice I can think of is to stick with it. If you end up sneaking a cig don't be too hard on yourself. Just try to steadily weave vaping into your routine. I set little rules for myself and that helped a lot. Like no smoking in the car. Or I'd leave the cigs at home when I went to work. Whatever you can think of to play tricks on yourself.

That's pretty much the plan. The morning coffee and when I'm drinking are always the biggest obstacles in quitting. If this thing can get me through both of those I'll be home free.
