Then again, they could have listened to you, gone for it and maybe not converted and wouldn't have been in the game late.

Has the overall quality of the NFL ever been worse?

It almost reminds me of college basketball at this point. Although massively popular, the quality of play is consistently atrocious.

Teams convert more than 50% of all 4th and 1's. Kicking a FG in that situation is a decision that costs the team more points on average than it gains them. It's the equivalent of bunting with runners on 1st and 2nd and no outs.

I can't think of a year when the best teams in the league have been so weak. Denver has massive defensive flaws and the Seahawks can't play on the road at all.
