Really? He doesn't seem to be a MVC type player. I bet he could shred some mother****ers in that conference. Especially if WSU can get a better big down there.

If by "well" you mean hitting 4 three's in his final game, and by "end of season" you mean against Stanford, then you would be correct.

I just don't think he brings much offensively other than spot up shooter and I don't think he'll ever be able to play anything better than average defense. That makes him #7 of 7 as far as perimeter players on this year's team.

Seems like a good kid though. Hopefully he'll go to WSU, put on some weight, and become a Scott Baker, jr. Though I feel like if he couldn't get much bigger at KU under Hudy, then it just isn't happening.

Sucks about Frankamp. But watching him play, he needs to have the ball in his hands. He was never going to be a catch-and-shoot player, which is what we all expected. I started paying attention last year to when he shot with no dribble vs. a pull up jumper. He was significantly more effective when shooting out of a dribble.

He'll go somewhere he can play and start and he'll fill it up.

It's sad, because I was excited to see him and Mason as seniors, but hey... Frankamp probably won't play professionally, so this is his only time. I get not wanting to use up your eligibility on the bench. Especially when Bill Self doesn't seem to be slowing down on recruiting top 10 players any time soon.

Haha, exactly. His last two games were his best two. I was being a bit facetious. Either way, he will be a small point guard, but I think he could start somewhere and get big minutes.

That was the rumor. Dad wasn't happy that Conner was getting recruited over & not getting the amount of PT he thought he should be getting. His likely "time to shine" was going to be senior year.

Oh well....I'm sure he'll get what he needs at a smaller school. WSU could be a decent fit.

The good news to him transferring is that the young kids are likely as good as we've heard.

Self said this is his deepest team he has ever had....they just aren't as top heavy as they have been in years past.

I'm not the MVC authority on the board but I watched a couple WSU MVC games and it appeared that the other teams defensive philosophy was run fast and hit hard. Being mugged for 40 minutes doesn't seem to be in Frankamps wheelhouse. Besides that VanVleet is a junior now and he won't unseat him for his senior campaign, so he'll get one year at PG or switch to SG.

I'm sure it'll be fine if that's what he wants to do, but he's not going to be starting PG day one there IMO.

But being a 5'11" SG or whatever his height is might play better in the MVC vs at KU.

You have to think there is going to be a year where the wheels fall off. It happens to every other school. I figure we are due. Debbie Downer I know, but it boggles the mind the level of basketball we've seen under Self. I certainly don't want a junk season, but I'm preparing myself for one.

Two words. Bill Self.
