You guys that are going to camp:

It seems from the reports/tweets of plays that we are just chucking the ball downfield nearly every play. Is the offense changing? Do we even run the ball anymore? Are the QB's under center and play action? Or mostly shotgun setup?

Oh bullshit, there are plenty of WRs with the hand strength to hold on to the ball with a defender hitting it.

1. Alex Smith is by far the best QB of camp. Looked like his usual conservative but effective self. Passes were on money. Bray is by far the 2nd best QB of practice. Murray and Hogan look pretty good. Foles looked like hot garbage most of the practice. Not entirely his fault as some of the routes were timing routes but he just wasn't very good at all. Last couple of passes were beauts, though.

2. Still really like Darrin Reaves. Knile Davis looked rough all day so I say we just cut him and put Reaves in as the #4.

3. The Ross Travis hype is real. Dude is very athletic with great hands. Runs pretty good routes. Needs to get thicker but he was the 2nd best TE out there yesterday. O'Shaughnessy looked solid, so maybe we carry 4 TEs again? Brian Parker dropped three passes, two of which were gimmes. He won't survive the first round of cuts.

4. Both tackles struggled, problematic. Fisher in particular gave up a sack to Frank ****ing Zombo. Yikes. They rotated Ehringer and Fulton at LG, not sure why. Maybe they're rethinking the rook.

5. Jaye Howard is poised for a Pro Bowl season. Dude is a noise maker and he is everywhere. Great against the run and pass. Chris Jones didn't really make much of an impact...

6. 2nd best ILB all day was Justin March. Guy looks fast, excellent in the coverage drills, and plays very aggressive. Mauga was out today and they played Ramik Wilson with the 1s, though.

7. Not much to report on the secondary. Gaines looked solid, but gave up some passes. Peters of course looks amazing. Nelson turned in a stellar practice at NCB. Contested everything.

8. Albert Wilson was out today, and Chris Conley is clearly not up to the task as the #2, at least as of the practice I saw. He was not getting separation, and lost a jump ball against Nelson that he should have won. Streater, for this practice, was worthless. Only got one pass thrown his way all practice and it was broken up. Same with DeAnthony. Mike Williams played okay with the 2s, and Demarcus Robinson will probably need a season or two, though you can tell the potential is there.

9. The hype on Tyreek hill is legit. Guy is obviously fast, but he gets so much separation. Had the best TD of the practice -- Smith hit him across the middle about 15 yards down the field, nobody around him. He was in stride towards the far side of the field, stops running on a dime, does a 180, and outsprints everybody to the nearside pylon. Gaines is a 4.3 runner and couldn't catch the damn dude. Hill was the 2nd best WR of practice.

10. Funniest moment of practice was during the coverage drills. DJ was on Charcandrick West, who juked a route to the middle. DJ bit on it, hard, and West stood all by himself on the sideline and reeled in the pass. Jogging back to the crowd, DJ hears coach Bieniemy yell at him "DJ you gonna play receiver for us too?"

Now it's officially a stupid take since you're co-signing.

There's no way you can say "so and so would've caught that". Complete and utter bullshit.

I noticed that, too. It's impossible to know... They may just want to try some stuff with it rather than a fundamental change in offensive philosophy.

Whatever, he needs to squeeze those and make the catch.

I think they are both gone.

Hill is replacing both and opening up another roster spot for us.

Are they gonna have hill return kicks too? If he's as good of a wr as they seem to think, that's a risk to have him return kicks.
