I rocked an 870 for a few years. Great gun. Girlfriends rich grandpa bought me a Benelli SuperSport about 2 months ago. We do a lot of sporting clays, so he hooked me up. It's probably the best gift I've ever gotten.

I have had a couple of Remington 1100s, great guns. Now I have the Browning Light 12 that Dad bought new in 1961. Heck of a gun.

Have a Benilli SuperNova and a VersaMax from Remmington. No complaints from either.

Find the most beat-to-hell side by side you can find.
Show up to the sport clays tournament wearing bib overalls and worn out boots. Shoot lights out. Laugh at the guys with their $7000 Italian shotguns.

just shot last week. I shoot once a year and do a round of 50, with a borrowed shotgun. Got a 38/50, beat 2 guys with Benellis. Felt good.

About a month ago I went and shot some clays with a friend of mine. His daughter had been given a “cheap” auto loader. It was a Tri-star Raptor. $300~ new. We went through a couple hundred Clays Shooting it, a sweet Browning O/U and an 870. I honestly liked the Tri-Star better than the 870, it functioned without a hiccup. I had low expectations of the semi auto before I shot it but, I did just as well with it as I did the Browning that was 5 X the price. Tri-Star like CZ is a Turkish manufactured gun. I am thinking seriously about purchasing one or the other.
