Blizzard's new game, "Overwatch" will be coming to PS4 and XB1...

Console Authentication

Update 3:20 PM EDT: Two strings have been located which point towards console network authentication within Overwatch. We already had a pretty good idea that Overwatch was coming to consoles, but it looks like the support for it may be further along than anyone thought.

So I was planning on getting the latest COD today - Black Ops III - but apparently it's performance has been limited on the last-gen consoles (I have a PS3). It scales between 30fps - 60fps, but more towards the 30fps side.

Now I'm thinking about getting a PS4 or Xbox One. The thing that has always kept me away from xbox is you have to pay for the xbox network to play multiplayer. Is it the same with PS4?

It is now...they're both fantastic machines.

I'd boil it down to where are the games you want to play and where do your friends play...esp. for something like CoD.

Yes. There are so many console bundles now for 350. It's time to make the jump!

Yes
Unless you buy a ton of games 500 is definitely enough
You can always uninstall and reinstall games you no longer play as well, so space really isn't an issue

If you don't play many games you can definitely get by with only 500GB. Worst case scenario is you have to delete the game from your HD and reinstall it if you want to play it again.

And yes you need to have PS+ to play online multiplayer. I'd imagine that your new PS4 would come with 3 months of PS+ though so I'd wait until Black Friday to buy a year long PS+ subscription.

For what it's worth, I love my PlayStation. The only thing that I wish it did that the XBone does is allow you to watch TV while playing games. That only bugged me when I was trying to get some time into Metal Gear (which is awesome and you should buy it) while the Series was going on. Even then, no regrets.

Oh, and while it seems like a pain in the ass to pay for PS+, the service is pretty stable and that fee is going to help make sure it stays that way.

hmmm, I read a few articles last week about a 299 price but they must have been speculating. The only thing i see now is confirmed 349. Looks like somebody linked a 329 option above though.

I've seen Walmart and Sams Club ads that say they'll have it for $299 on 11/14...one day only.
