I was up til 5 am playing this shit last night. I didn't even realize how late it had gotten (or early, depending on how you look at it). I did the hunting mission and unlocked the hunting side missions. Awesome. Spent most of my time in the mountain area in the northwest. So amazing. A weird thing happened though as I was driving up the mountain.

Spoiler!

I thought I kept the money even though they killed me? That was my favorite random event so far.

Not me. I had like 2,000 after I respawned at the hospital.

I'm coming to the end of the story... and that really bums me out.

I could see myself replaying the story and making an effort to get ALL of the side missions. Or I might just play this one and get everything.

Can't wait for multiplayer to launch.

Just finished up the story. 84% completion total. My eyes are dry, I'm sleep deprived, I've been neglecting absolutely everything in my life that doesn't involve GTA. I'm taking a break from video games for a while, but wow, what a ride. I will go back and play the single player mode again, just not right now. Easily one of the top 3 games I've ever played. Can't wait to check out multiplayer, but for now... my mind, my Xbox, and my eyes need a rest.

I didnt' get to play as much as I wanted but I did manage to steal a lear jet.
as I was taking off I got a bunch of bullets to the engine and it started to smoke. Still kept flying though for a while. Then it just slowly puttered out. I jumped out, thinking I still had my parachute.......yeah, no. Plummeted to my death onto a busy street.

I still haven't figured out how shit saves in this game. After missions, the first thing I do is go to my safehouse to save. But, beyond that - when I die just jackin' around, each time I die and reload I seem to end up with less shit.

....frustrating note....in my attempts to get to the gondola;
1. Two failed attempts with my POS SUV.
2. Two other failed attempts, but I decided to bail and go on foot, only to get eaten by a mountain lion.
3. Managed to get my vehicle up the steep slope to continue. Just before reaching the gondola, I accidently ran over 2 hikers. Next thing I know 4 police cars come crashing over the side of the bluff. Which was funny, and ****ing frustrating at the same time.

I finally make it into the gondola house to grab the parachute, I jump off, but wasn't sure how to maneuver....yeah, crashed into the rocks about 1 second later. at that point, I said '**** this' and went on to steal a jet after over an hour of trying to get the parachute.

Though, it appears I'm getting ready for the diamond heist.

Landed it safely at my Hangar, now Im just working on how Im going to get that attack chopper out of there. It doesn't move nearly as fast, and the last time I attempted it, I took a missile before I got 10 feet off the ground.
Knowing the depth of this game you'll probably have to find an inside guy, take out the guys manning the missiles, or find some tech guy with the tech to scramble the missiles from locking in on you or fire defensive measure heat flares to avoid being hit. I'm not even close to as far but if you are getting taken out almost immediately then it seems its not a quick action tactical move but something you have to do before attempting to steal the chopper?

Definitely laced when you trip out and face all the aliens. They keep talking about PCP and Molly, so my guess is something along those lines.

Im loving this game so far, taking my time with it so im not very far a long. Quick question though, i spent almost all of my money pimpin' my ride...and then i had to leave it to do a mission....now it's gone. I went to the impound yard and when i got the car back, it was all stripped like i didnt do anything to it. What's the deal with that shit?

Took a cable car to the top of the mountain, and drove a dirt bike back down.

I'd recommend against it unless you are one of the following:

a.) An excellent driver

b.) Willing to ride the brakes all the way down

c.) Want to die a comical death
