The third inning was one of the worst innings of baseball I've seen from a team in a long time.

This team is just dumb as **** in every way imaginable. It is the perfect Matheny squad.

Bill DeWitt would have to give a shit to make a decision like that. He clearly doesn't anymore.

He's on auto-pilot. Mikey Dreamboat brings fans in because he's just so handsome and played the game right, y'know...

So instead we'll have an idiot manager leading a team who's best player is also an idiot and we'll continue to wonder why the team plays stupid baseball.

And John Mozeliak will continue with his best Carl Peterson impression - say a lot of words that mean nothing, talk a big game, take no chances on anything ever and make sure that you never truly suck horribly even if it means you'll never actually be good again either.

5 years ago Mike Matheny took over a WS champion with the best farm system in baseball. Every single thing on this team - literally every single thing - has gotten worse since. Just a slow, steady decay and Bill DeWitt simply doesn't give enough ****s to make any dramatic changes.
