I'm glad the Walmart preorder is actually showing up today instead of Wednesday. I was worried by Wednesday the demand would be a lot lower. The first one sold to a couple of KU students that met me at the turnpike gas station, that was surprising, but i suppose there was high demand in Lawrence.

Just based on what parents came in looking for for their kids for Christmas, she usually had a pretty solid understanding of what was going to be the "hot" toy that year. We'd always buy a few in November, wait until mid-December and sell 'em on eBay.

One year when some dumb little $8 toy was going hot, we bought a dozen or so. I sold most of them for $80 to $100 two weeks before Christmas, and all but a couple of people buying them were thrilled to get them. I had a couple others send me emails with payment that they hated having to spend so much on it, but they were happy to win.

There's a huge community-wide yard sale the first Saturday of every month near where I live. Over the past few years, it's become overrun with people selling pirated CDs and DVDs, counterfeit designer labels, and the like. Feds busted them a few weeks ago, seized more than $2 million in product from damn near 50 vendors.

I don't have PS+ yet, saving my free month for January that way I'll pay for the year in Feb and won't have to re-up til Feb '15

I liked the PS3 joysticks better. My right thumb keeps slipping off the stick on the PS4.

Not sure. If you want a ps4 might as well wait until March when MLB The Show, UFC, Metal gear etc.. drop. That's looking like the likely plan.
