Let's talk about the Patriots

5-0 heading into a Sunday Night matchup with the Pats.

This should be a good one, men.

But...

We have a QB that has made six NFL starts. Is 14/2 TDs/Ints with two more rushing TDs and is already being talked about as MVP.

You guys have a 41 year-old QB.

If you guys lose at home to us you will be 3-3 and a full 3 games behind us for home field advantage. If we lose, we will be 5-1. One loss, with a QB making his 7th start, with a loss at Foxborough.

The pressure is all on you guys. Even with the Pats come-back magic, you lose this game at home and the writing is on the wall.

Even if you win, you will see that Brady is never again going to be the best QB in the AFC.

We can look forward to a 10-15 year Super Bowl window that is just opening.

You can look forward to living in the past, pretending you can draft another HOF QB in the sixth round, wandering aimlessly in purgatory, feeling sorry for long-suffering Pats fans, and singing into your beer cups...

It's going to be hilarious when Brady and Bill retire and the Pats a relegated to real life, by no falling ass backwards into a HOF QB.
I wonder how many of their 'fans' will still be around by the time the find another QB and become relevant again.

I'd like to think that most Pats fans know they aren't just going to magically have HOF coach/QB combos every year of their entire lives. No team stays on top forever. A 20 year run is far more than I ever dreamed of, so I won't cry for a good, long, while yet.

Coming from being a Blue jays fan and the Royals owned us:P :O i dont want the same thing happening to the Chiefs.

You know what happens when you talk sh*t right? It may be fun but it comes back to bite you in the ass. Trust me. Its a bad omen.

Chiefs may be good but theyre not at the Patriots level. I dont give a sh*t if theyre 5-0 right now. Please, lets not act as if we better then the Patriots. In fact, it wouldnt surprise me if the Chiefs lose this week. Remember, Andy Reid usually starts off great and sh*ts the bed in january. Patriots on the other hand, play great football when it matters most. Andy Reid may be great schematically on offense but usually gets outcoached and outschemed by Hoodie 9 times out of 10. Chiefs are 4-15 in the playoffs since 1982 meanwhile the Patriots have won 5 superbowls in the last 18 years. Remember the facts, established champions vs established losers. We have a ways to go. Lets not overhype ourselves and crown our asses now. We got a ways to go.

Chiefs defense doesnt stand a chance against Brady either. There is another fact to take into consideration. Another thing close tight games where the clock matters, Belicheck is great at managing it while Reid sucks at that. Mahomes makes us better yes but there are lots of variables working agaisnt us.
Ban him

Not to be a jerk, but don't write Mahomes into the HOF JUST yet. We've seen how injuries and/or defensive adjustments can really bring a guy down to earth fast after a very hot start. I don't think the fan bases of Vick, Kaepernick, Sanchez, etc. were any less excited than you guys are right now, but they weren't able to sustain consistent success for various reasons.

I'd be saying the same thing if it were any other QB and any other team, including the Patriots. It's a bit early yet to put his bust into Canton.

All that said, he does look pretty damn awesome, so we'll see.

You have a QB that has achieved exactly what Alex Smith did last year (a 5-0 start) and nothing more.

In all fairness, you've made a lot of dumb arguments in this thread, but this might be the dumbest . . . . .

So games in September don't count? Only Oct. Nov. Dec. ? When did Goodell make that rule change? Are teams now only playing a 12 game season??

WHY DIDN'T I GET THE MEMO!!!???!!!

Stupid NFL.
