Whatever the case. im sure its a million reasons....but the last starting pitcher the Royals developed "in house" that had a decent career was Kevin Appier. He came up like 90 or 91??? Thats a pretty sad track record.

Jose Rosado was on the pace to be good and was till and injury, Jim Pittsley is another "stud" i recall that got hurt before his career got going. Just shitty luck on some of these guys. Affeldt had the tools but probably wasn't coached right and flip flopped alot. I just hope the new guys come up the right way and contribute.

Yea, we all thought those guys would work out...damn shame.

Then there were several draft busts like Colt and was it Jeff Granger i think??

Yeah, they have had alot of bad luck but our scouting has been horrible along with some of our minor league depts. Dayton has done his job to improve all those facets. Hopefully it will improve our talent here in the next few years. He has already brought over more pitching in trades etc. I expect more.
