Install replacement officials with a better replay system (like college), and things will be better.

Could they be any worse than the real officials?

Fine by me. Last time we went through this I didn’t see much if any drop off in officiating.

Doesn't bother me one bit. Wouldn't mind seeing some younger officials, which I'm hoping/assuming these replacements will be.
Does this have anything to do with the NFL announcing that they plan to make some officials "full-time"? I remember reading that they intended to do that. Hopefully the MLB can have this problem as well, because the umpires have sucked something fierce this season so far.

In all reality though, this won't happen because this is just posturing for a better deal which is standard in bargaining. Economy is tough and most of these officials who have other jobs surely won't risk too much there revenue stream coming in. |
