I don't know what your beef is with these former niner fans is or even who they are but it seems to me the people that are always starting beef are the usual suspects.

This thread is a great example. As is the Geno Smith vs Alex Smith thread. As are the claims that a team victory is suspect because we didn't throw the ball downfield enough.

Anyways, I think the problem with both sides is they overvalue the QB.

I don't think he's Trent Green/Rich Gannon 30+ years old lightning in the bottle high level of play yet, might take another good season, but he's really close now.

I think you're missing the point, Boss.

CC and I are taking jabs at those folks who want it both ways.

Example from earlier:

QB's all over the league put up numbers. Foles and McCown have been ridiculous lately, but if I tried to use, "Foles threw for 7 TD's in a game!" to "prove" he's a good QB, I'd get ****ing abused.

These ****wits are too dumb to realize how ridiculous they look.

Who really is doing that, apart from the Alex Smith fanboys who have been on his nuts since the preseason? I don't feel like most people on CP gave Smith any kind of royal treatment the beginning of the year.

As a smart man once said, "better than bad does not equal good".

His previous "career highs" in some areas weren't exactly setting the bar real high.
