Seriously though, the Gorillaz stuff is cool. And Curtain Call is on my list of stuff to buy too.

"Van Halen" by Nerf Herder is awesome. Perfectly expresses my disgust with the band after Dave was fired.

Yeah, they're really great with that. They're not top notch lyrically(though they've got a few gems), but even their songs with kinda sadistic lyrics are upbeat and put you in a good mood. Kinda weird. I'd recommend pretty much anything off their first two CDs.

They're pretty unique and I find it hard not to like'em. Plus 99% of their songs are catchy as hell.

The South FM CD got a lot of playing time on the recent trip to KC and back. Not a bad song on the entire CD.

Dark New Day and the new Cold got a lot of play, too.

Definitely a formula...not much to distinguish it from the previous CDs, but it's still an enjoyable listen.

Opeth is my favorite band, and you can't convince me there's a better band in the world right now. I love alot of music, from all over the genre spectrum, but these guys take my proverbial cake. They're a progressive metal band; equally influenced by 70's prog rock ala Camel and King Crimson, and death metal. Even if harsh, growled vocals aren't your thing, the prog community has accepted thier greatness. The rest are various metal bands with albums Ive recently purchased. Nevermore and Kamelot = power metal, My Dying Bride and November's Doom = doom metal.

I forgot to add The Lord Weird Slough Feg and Pelican to the list as well.
