Driving and facebooking is not safe! Haha."

Moments later, Sauer, going more than 80 mph, slammed into a tanker truck that was slowly creeping up a hill at 15 mph. She was killed instantly; investigators saw no signs that she applied the brakes before the fatal crash. And in checking her cell phone records, they learned Sauer was posting about every 90 seconds during her drive.

"I think she was probably (texting) to stay awake, she was probably tired," Taylor's dad, Clay Sauer, told Ann Curry on TODAY Monday. "But that's not a reason to do it, and the kids think they're invincible. To them, (texting) is not distracting, they're so proficient at texting, that they don't feel it's distracted driving."

Clay and Shauna Sauer, still grieving over their 18-year-old daughter's Jan. 12 death, have become lobbyists in their home state to urge the state legislature to pass a ban on texting while driving. Idaho is one of 13 states in the U.S. that has no such law in place.

I am sorry, but **** her parents and anyone else that believes in a law that says ban texting and using your phone.. What about passengers, what about gps/navigation/pandora on the phones..

**** they might as well ban radios, eating, and adjusting your mirrors.. I guess they will be arresting a lot of cops as I see them talking on their cell phones all the time..

Texting is SIX TIMES more deadly than drunk driving. That stat alone should scare the hell out of every student and parents of kids who are text fanatics

I got my truck swiped by a truck driver. Safe to say, my truck got repaired and he most likely got in trouble for it. I'm not proud of it, but to say you all get away with anything is laughable.

Meh, it's a matter of 1-2 car lengths at 60-70mph, similar to driving with a BAC of 0.08. Nobody even knows what the girl was actually doing at the time, and it's pretty surprising the video in the OP hardly even mentions the semi moving at 15mph.... she may have very well been ****ed no matter what she was doing at that moment.

I don't understand all the hate for the truckers. They are driving a hell of a lot more vehicle and (understandably) need a lot more room to maneuver. I have seen a lot of dumbass drivers do stupid shit around big rigs thinking they have the same ability to navigate as a regular vehicle. That's just not the case. If I'm behind an 18 wheeler I do my best to stay in sight of his rear-view mirrors and understand that while it may take awhile they want to get down the road just like everyone else. What's happened to common courtesy? They're just trying to make a living and if they do something that pisses you off I bet that they have been screwed with by some other driver that doesn't even care and think that they own the road. It's a 2 way street folks.

Seriously here is the deal

1 We are GOVERNED at 65 or so, just get the hell away from me.
2 Going up a mountain and passing a truck going one mph slower than me is because my RPMS are up and if I lose my RPMs it may mean the difference of going 35 or 25 mph up a mountain, thus causing more aggravated cars.
3 Most truck drivers do not intentionally try to piss cars off and would love to ride in the right lane all day long but there is usually some dumbass car going 60 in a 65mph zone.. I gotta go, I have a job to do.

How to get along with trucks... It's very simple, just follow me or pass me, I could care less just get the **** away from me, there is no reason to ride beside a truck when the traffic is light, you are playing with fire and if something goes wrong, you are gonna lose because you barely come up to my feet in my truck, just get on around and go on. Teach your women this men...

I have not been in an accident with a car since 1988, I currently have 15 years in a row of safe driving, I know what the **** I am doing.
I have never hurt anyone while driving, I don't tailgate, I don't punish you or risk your life when you do something stupid...

If you are in such a hurry, you probably should try leaving earlier.
