Exactly. Jordan never wilted in the finals the way Lebron did in 2011.

That's why I don't argue much with stats. The eyeball test is all you need to see what separates them.

I think it should matter, but not as a knock on him. He willed that team to the finals. The game where he dominated Detroit in the 2nd half to get to the Finals is one of the best post season performances ever.

The Spurs were a complete team that year. There was no way LeBron could have pulled what he did against Detroit against the Spurs.

And LeBron has likely been the best defender in the league since he entered it.

It may be "true" but it also doesn't mean anything. So if MJ was good enough to get his team to the finals at some point in his first 6 years instead of losing earlier in the playoffs, such a thing would be held against him if he lost once he got there? That makes no sense.

That team had no business being in a Finals, I agree that is was because of LeBron why they got there. It just reminds me of Hakeem in 86, no real business for them being there either against the great Celtics team.

Tell me otherwise cause my memory could be wrong.
And if LeBron doesn't play an incredible level of basketball for 6 games, the Ray Allen shot doesn't mean anything. In fact, there never even is a Ray Allen shot. What don't you understand about that?

They won 2 games. And in the WCF they beat the Lakers in 5.

Still does that Finals come up at all when you think of Hakeem's legacy?

No, but I just don't want people thinking that team was as shitty as the Cavs

It's Jordan's demeanor and killer instinct. Those are some of the things that separates him from Lebron.

Jordan ripped and forcefully took away 2 championships from my Utah Jazz. I was in the 6th grade and in our school classrooms the intercom had everyone yell in sync "Beat the Bulls!" Everyone was in on it except this one kid who often wore a Bulls jacket.

The 1997 finals game known as Jordan's flu game. He friggin put up 38 pts, 7 rebound, 5 asts, 3 steals and 1 block.

When Jordan took that shot in 1998 to ice the game, it was as if a rusty/blunted knife was shoved into my chest.

Hated Jordan for the longest time. Then after many many years I look back on his career highlights and such, and I just had to admit he's the greatest to step onto the court.

I'm not doubting that. It's just that it won't be remembered.

Ray Allen's miracle series saving shot will be remembered. Lebron had the same exact opportunity to do just that but he bricked it.

I just watched the final minutes of regulation of game 6. Lebron earlier did hit a big 3 to bring a 5 point Spurs lead down to 2.

It's just that I didn't remember Lebron hitting that 3 pointer. It's completely overshadowed by Ray Allen's shot. Pretty much everyone will remember Ray Allen's moment.

I remember Steve Kerr hitting a shot to win the series over the Jazz not Jordan.
