where the **** was this in August? These idiots in the FO how don't they see this shit coming from a mile away? You could have signed Dom Franks, Chris Carr traded for Asante or Vontae, and now they are ALL gone. There is garbage left, all Jacques Reeves types. Not essentially upgrades or any better than anything we got at this point.

But there was plenty out there a month ago, they just shit the bed and ****ed around. That's what makes me mad about this team

You're getting mad that we didn't trade a second round pick for a corner that shows up to practice DRUNK (Vontae Davis)?

I can see being frustrated by not moving a 4th for Samuel, or signing the corner from Denver and SD...but the player has to want to sign here, too.

and that is no different than our star OLBer getting suspended putting himself in some sort of unknown drug situation in the offseason that Pioli tried to cover up.

Stanford Routt is the #17 rated corner on pff and Carr is like #36.

We are paying Routt 4 million dollars less and we will get a 3rd round comp pick for Carr, too.

if we traded a second round pick for Vontae Davis, this place would have had a full blown meltdown.

That said, we probably should have made a trade for Samuel, but after Pioli let him walk from NE for some reason, that was unlikely to happen and the pick he went for dictates that the rest of the league doesn't look at him as much, either.

Not trying to defend Pioli...I hope he gets fired if Cassel is the starter after the bye, but two of the corners he drafted (Brown and Menzie) are injured and both have good potential. Not sure them being hurt falls on Pioli.
