The time to look for secondary help was in the off-season.

only a ****ing month and a half too late
where the **** was this in August? These idiots in the FO how don't they see this shit coming from a mile away? You could have signed Dom Franks, Chris Carr traded for Asante or Vontae, and now they are ALL gone. There is garbage left, all Jacques Reeves types. Not essentially upgrades or any better than anything we got at this point. But there was plenty out there a month ago, they just shit the bed and ****ed around. That's what makes me mad about this team |

Really? I can see being frustrated by not moving a 4th for Samuel, or signing the corner from Denver and SD...but the player has to want to sign here, too. |

and that is no different than our star OLBer getting suspended putting himself in some sort of unknown drug situation in the offseason that Pioli tried to cover up. so yeah. Talent is talent, i dont care what the **** they do. Throw that "right 53" bullshit out the window. If scrubs like Jake O Connell and Jacques Reeves are part of the right 53 then so is Vontae Davis and players like that I remember Donald Washington was this "Right 53 talent team captain good student Ohio State reccomended high IQ" guy or so Pioli sells you and that idiot went on a GTA spree with drugs and weapons in his car. So how is that guy going to be on this team for 3 years before he gets cut. But Vontae Davis drunk is apparently bad |

Or maybe they weren't interested in signing somewhere they wouldn't be a starter once Flowers got healthy...who can blame em?
Stanford Routt is the #17 rated corner on pff and Carr is like #36. We are paying Routt 4 million dollars less and we will get a 3rd round comp pick for Carr, too. It's not all shit and aids. |

Scott's record with drafting CBs has put us in the situation we're in today. Horrible.

That said, we probably should have made a trade for Samuel, but after Pioli let him walk from NE for some reason, that was unlikely to happen and the pick he went for dictates that the rest of the league doesn't look at him as much, either. |

Not trying to defend Pioli...I hope he gets fired if Cassel is the starter after the bye, but two of the corners he drafted (Brown and Menzie) are injured and both have good potential. Not sure them being hurt falls on Pioli.
