Quest for 1,000.

Dwayne Bowe needs 81 yards to reach 1,000 yards on the season.
Larry Johnson needs 144 yards to reach 1,000 yards on the season.

With 1 left to play... What are their chances?

Bowe.....has a decent chance. LJ....not so much.

EDIT: LJ would have a better chance if the coaches would pull their heads out of their asses and run him more than 12 times a game.

How many touchdowns do Bowe and Gonzalez have? I would find it amazing that a 2-14 team has two receivers that both have 1,000 yards and 10 TD's.

I agree.
He was very effective yesterday and they didn't use him often enough.

Hmmm...I don't see Thigpen hitting Bowe for 3 TD's on 81 yards.

Still, pretty good production for a 2-14 team.

That has a better chance of happening than the rest of the scenarios.

Here is the major problem that I see with our coaching staff (minus the fact that they are driving the slow bus).

There is no balance or compromise in them. Herm ran the shit out of LJ and didn't adjust by throwing the ball at all. When Thigpen couldn't run that offense....something clicked (Gailey) and they put in the spread offense. That worked decently and appeased the fans. The only problem is....is that LJ was only being utilized 10-15 times a game. It's like Herm sticks to one kind of offense and doesn't balance it out.

Herm...I'm not saying that you have to go back to R2P2. I'm not saying that you have to stick completely with the Spread. But FFS man....when LJ is running 12 times for over 100 yards.....don't you think you should run him a couple more times?

This coaching staff never ceases to amaze me.
They live and die with their philosophies regardless of how poorly they may be serving them.

I have a rough time getting amped up about any stat past 2-13. All that other stuff is individual which is fun for fantasy football but it's meaningless for my team.
